With 5 bedrooms set over 3 floors, this Gite is a beautiful oak beamed cottage in the rolling landscape of the northern Dordogne. This is an ideal family holiday home, with spectacular views of the countryside, and some beautiful sunsets.

In this holiday home to let there is a fully equipped kitchen, satellite UK TV, private gardens, private use of swimming pool.

Centrally located for a host of outdoor activities, the river Loue is only a 2 minute walk away! The nearby town of Excideuil has a large supermarket, petrol station, Thursday market day, host of general shops and lots of bars and cafe's.

This area is steeped in ancient history, with Richard the Lionheart and his love, Eleanor of Aquitaine having stayed at the local chateau.

The massive chateau of Hautefort is only a 10 minute drive away, this is the most photographed chateau in France.

You can tour the whole Dordogne from here and return to tranquillity and a cool dip in your own exclusive pool.

Close to outdoor activities such as horse riding, hiking, canoeing, potholing, caving, sightseeing. Located just outside the ancient town of Excideuil, about 1 hour drive from Limoge airport and 1 hour from Perigueux.

Most towns in the area have colourful market days, all are easily accessible from here, even in high summer there is hardly any traffic and a jam is a rarity.

The Pre-historic caves of the region are about a 40 minute drive from here, where you can see some of the earliest evidence of European human existence, and there are also dinosaur footprints nearby in the river bed.

You will be spoilt for choice with restaurants, bars and cafe's. You will be in the heart of Pate de Fois Gras, veal and Truffle country. Also there is an abundance of vineyards from which to stock up from.

This French Holiday Home has been open for bookings for over 5 years, has mostly been fully booked and all clients have enjoyed their stays very much.
